The establishment of Skyline Metro Campus was a result of the determination to offer quality higher education in this country as well as the immense requests of the large number of students who have completed Clinical and Practical training at Sithnivana Mental Health Rehabilitation and Counselling Centre since 2021.
The largest Clinical Hub for enhancing clinical and practical knowledge of Sri Lankan Psychology undergraduates and postgraduates is Sithnivana. Apart from that, Skyline Metro Campus has paved the way for the students to actively engage in studying mental health disorders, get the expertise of applying psychotherapies and conduct psychological testing at Sithnivana, in which the Psychology Laboratory of Skyline Metro Campus is sooner to be launched.
Originally offering clinical and practical training in Counselling and Rehabilitation for undergraduates and also post graduates, pursuing diplomas and degrees in Psychology and Counselling, Skyline Metro Campus has expanded its services to include workshops in Psychology, Counselling, Caregiving, and various Health-related subjects.
Registered under Companies Act No. 7 of 2007 to providing Certificate, Diploma and Degree programs in Sri Lanka affiliating with foreign universities and institutions as a higher educational institution, Skyline Metro Campus has obtained the approval from the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) of Sri Lanka as a registered training institution. Dr. Madura Gunawardana, the Director of Sithnivana Mental Health Rehabilitation and Counselling Centre as well as the Director and the first Sri Lankan, licensed Life Coach Consultant of Shanka Lifestyle Coaching Centre in United Arab Emirates, is a skilled Clinical Psychologist known for his expert delivery of counselling, psychotherapy, and psychological evaluations in residential client care setting and outpatient settings at Sithnivana Mental Health Rehabilitation and Counselling Centre, Kalutara.
Moreover, Dr. Madura Gunawardana holds his PhD from the Latin American University of Science and Technology (ULACIT) and his research has focused on investigating ‘The efficacy of music therapy in alleviating depressive and anxiety symptoms among schizophrenic patients’. His academic journey commenced with a BA degree at University of Colombo and then he obtained the BSc degree in Psychology from Alagappa University in India, followed by an MSc in Psychology and Counselling from Karnataka State Open University, also in India. Furthering his expertise, he obtained an MSc degree in Clinical Psychology from the Business University of Costa Rica and an MA degree in Sociology from the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. Additionally, Dr. Madura Gunawardana holds a Diploma in Counselling from the Institute of Psychological Studies (IPS) in Sri Lanka. His professional affiliations include International Affiliate Membership of the American Psychological Association (APA), Graduate Membership (MBPsS) of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and International Membership of the Australian Counseling Association (ACA).

Mrs.A.N.K.Hinget is the directress of Skyline Metro Campus as well as the Treasurer and the Chief Administrator of Sithnivana Mental Health Rehabilitation & Counselling Centre. She has successfully completed Chartered Qualification in Human Resource Management (CQHRM) at Chartered Institute of Personnel Management. She was a teacher of English who has worked in the private school sector. She is a dynamic member handling the administration and human resources at the Sithnivana Mental Health Rehabilitation and Counselling Centre and Skyline Metro Campus.
